KingsBrook Farm
About Us
KingsBrook Farm is a small family owned and operated farmette located in beautiful Pittstown, NJ in the heart of Hunterdon County. We provide full care equine boarding in a clean and safe environment for you and your horse to enjoy. We also breed CLRC registrable Icelandic Sheep.
We believe in preventative practices first and using medicine when necessary. We cross graze our horses and sheep to reduce the parasitic load on all animals so minimal de-worming is needed. We love what we do and will work with you to provide the best care for your horse.
Equine Boarding
KingsBrook Farm offers full care boarding.
Our 12 X 12 padded stalls open onto grassy pastures; perfect for a retired horse to live out his days. A spacious dry lot is attached to the barn for working on ground manners and easy trots. A 60' round ring is located in our lower pasture for more serious workouts. An outside washing area with hot and cold water. We also have a 2-acre tracking pasture (with little vegetation) available for self-exercise.
We provide bedding, hay and a 50 lb. airtight container for your grain. Bathroom facilities, which include a shower and washer and dryer, are available for use. The climate controlled tack-room includes lockable cabinets for all your items.
Metabolic and rehabilitative horses are welcome.
Icelandic Sheep Breeding
We proudly breed Icelandic Sheep.
All of our sheep are pure bread with no cross breading or inbreeding. All of our sheep are registered with the NCWGA, and several are registered with the Canadian Livestock Records Corporation.
Our sheep are fed minimal grain, unlimited pasture grass, and sheep minerals. They are fed unlimited hay in the winter.
We cross graze our sheep and horses to reduce parasitic load.
We always employ preventative maintenance when caring for our animals, only using medicine when absolutely necessary.
